Search for information relating to States of Guernsey Government Meetings by date or topic

Billet d'États are published in advance of every States Meeting and contain the agenda for the meeting and related Reports and Legislation. The dates of the 2012 States Meetings and Billet publications are included in this document  States Meetings 2012 [50kb]

States Members can put forward amendments to the Billet or propose a Sursis or a Requête before the meeting. At the meeting, States Members discuss and debate the items on the agenda. Any votes cast, resolutions made and legislation approved are recorded.

All this information is available to download for each meeting from 2000 onwards (click on the year options to the right of this page). For printed copies or information relating to States Meetings earlier than 2000, please contact the Greffe.

The advanced search button on the right of the page can be used to search for a particular topic on a meeting agenda or for a date or Billet number.

Searches are most accurate when 2 or 3 topic-specific words are entered and more general words (such as 'laws' or 'States') are not included in the search term. This will then search the summaries for each meeting, where different discussion topics are listed. The Billets and associated media will not be searched.

Searches with many returned results can be narrowed using the dropdown box next to the search term, with options for 'Find any word' 'Find all words' and 'Find exact phrase'.
