Open Public Spaces

In this section, 'Open Public Spaces' refer to Parks and Gardens, Commons, Beaches, Cliffs, Coastal Paths and Environmental Sites owned or administered by the States of Guernsey.  

Other open public spaces in Guernsey are managed by the Parishes, La Société Guernesiaise, National Trust and Vale Commons Council.

For more information about restrictions and controls on dogs and horses in open public spaces, please click on the link below for a list of recreational legislation. These include The Control of Dogs Ordinance (1992), The Foreshore (Riding and Driving) Ordinance (1951) and The Places of Recreation Ordinance (1975).
