The current planning application to demolish the former Les Carterets Hotel at Cobo and erect a three storey building containing 12 apartments was received in February 2012.
It was advertised in the normal way and attracted a number of representations.
Since then, discussions have been held with the applicant and the Environment Department understands that revised proposals which respond to the various objections raised will be submitted by the applicant in the near future. It is anticipated that these will reduce the scale and impact of the proposed development from that originally proposed. These revised proposals will be re-advertised on receipt by the Department and there will then be a further opportunity for public comments to be made.
When it has been fully assessed and in light of any further comments received, the application with the revised plans will be considered by the Board of the Environment Department at an Open Planning Meeting. It is not yet known exactly when this will be but it is likely to be at least two to three months from now.
