The Housing Department has decided that the flats at Cour du Parc will be refurbished to meet specific housing needs.
Announcing the decision, Housing Minister Deputy Dave Jones said:
"After a detailed and thorough options appraisal, the Housing Department has concluded that the best option is to refurbish and reconfigure the flats at Cour du Parc. This decision has the support of the Treasury and Resources Department.
In view of the considerable political and public interest that there has been in the future of this building, with the Bailiff's permission I intend to make a Statement at the States meeting at the end of this month, at which I will give more details of what specific housing needs are to be met. Neither Housing nor Treasury and Resources will therefore be making any further comment at this time".
