The Scrutiny Committee is announcing its intention to review issues arising from the Home Department's non-disclosure of information relating to the negotiated settlement with AFR Advocates.
The Committee has appointed a panel to undertake the review, comprising Alderney Representative Paul Arditti (chair), Deputies Peter Gillson, Paul Le Pelley, and Rob Jones.
The review panel holds its first meeting on Thursday, at which it will consider the scope, timings, and logistics of the review. Further information will be released once the panel has agreed these details.
Mr Arditti said:
"The Scrutiny Committee aims to conduct a swift review into the Home Department's non-disclosure of information relating to the settlement with AFR Advocates. Given the urgency of this matter, the Committee aims to launch and complete the review as quickly as possible, and will confirm details at the first opportunity".
The Committee welcomes any evidence that members of the public may be able to provide to assist the Committee in the course of its investigations. Evidence should be submitted in writing to scrutiny@gov.gg
