Media enquiry from Damian Wrigley, Guernsey Press
In regard to our conversation, would you be able to please find out if the department is responsible for placing boulders on the corner of La Route de L'Islet, near the Vale Church. If so, what are they there for and when were they placed there?
This is planned in for tomorrow's paper, so if you can please respond, either way, by 3.30pm.
Environment Department's response:
Boulders have been on that land since at least 1979, presumably to prevent parking on the grass near the corner.
