Vale Parish - new 25 mph speed limit

Monday 30 December 2013

The Environment Department is advising motorists that new 25mph speed limits will come into force on 5 January 2014 for roads in the vicinity of and including Route des Coutures, Summerfield Road and North Quay. The changes link the existing Bridge and Vale Schools 25mph cordons.

The speed limit changes will initially be implemented as a 9 to 12 month experiment under a temporary traffic regulation during which the public are welcome to submit written comments on the scheme. Towards the end of the experiment the Department will consider public feedback and decide whether to make the lower speed limit permanent.
