Guernsey Press Enquiry:
I have been looking over the planning applications put in by the department for the branding of the Town kiosk and airport bus stops with green and yellow.
I was keen to get a comment about why the changes are being looked at and when (subject to planning) the work could take place?
Also, the application included a visualisation of what the kiosk would look like after the work takes place - is it possible to get a copy of that picture?
Environment Department Response:
The Environment Department has submitted an application on behalf of CT Plus for uplifting the branding of the scheduled bus services at the Terminus Kiosk and Airport Bus shelter.
The proposals are part of an ongoing commitment towards improving communications and awareness of the bus service in Guernsey. This is particularly the case at the Airport where the shelter is almost hidden out of sight on the far side of the concourse with little or no effective branding to highlight the provision of regular and timely connections to St Peter Port and other parts of the Island network.
CT Plus is looking to implement these changes as soon as planning permission (required in respect of the signage elements of this application) is granted.
