I would be grateful if you could pass on the following:
BBC Channel Islands News is looking at the number of hire cars registered in the islands.
Could you please let me know have many hire cars are registered in Guernsey?
<This comes from a story where Ford says they won't be supplying Jersey with cars in the future.>
Environment Department Response:
There are currently some 320 hire cars registered in the Island. In 2013 the Department registered a total of 398 hire cars of which all but 37 were subsequently exported from the Island. A similar number of hire cars are believed to have been registered in Guernsey during 2014.
