Wednesday 30 September 2015
The deadline for 2014 tax returns is 30 November 2015.
You must submit your return by this date to avoid a late filing penalty of £100 followed by continuing daily penalties of £10, until such a time as the return is received.
2014 tax returns are available to complete online at www.eforms.gov.gg/.
There are many benefits to using the online filing facility. For example, after the first year of completing a form online, taxpayers will also benefit from pre-population of various fields, which will speed up completion of future returns and make it a less onerous requirement. In addition, not only will taxpayers be able to file returns more efficiently, but returns filed online will also be examined more quickly (although if enquiries have to be made, following receipt of an online return, this may mean it cannot be assessed straight away), enabling earlier payment of any repayments due or notification of any additional tax owing.
Alternatively you may download and print a paper tax return from www.gov.gg/forms or collect a paper return from:
The Income Tax Office, Alderney States Office, Herm Administration Office, Aladdin's Cave, Alliance, Castel Douzaine Room, Citizens Advice Bureau, Forest Stores, The Guille-Alles Library, Guernsey Information Centre, St Martin's Constables Office, St Peter's Post Office, St Sampson's Douzaine Room, St Saviour's Douzaine Room.
