Financial Transformation Programme - Public Hearing

Friday 29 January 2016

The Public Accounts Committee will be holding a Public Hearing as part of its second phase review into the Financial Transformation Programme.

The Public Accounts Committee previously commissioned KPMG to undertake a Cost/Benefit Review of the Policy Council's Financial Transformation Programme (FTP) during 2014 and its report was published in May 2015. The Committee has also reviewed the FTP's Beau Sejour Leisure Centre project, releasing its report in November 2015.

The Committee's second phase of the review will focus on the value for money of the Programme and the implementation of the lessons learnt on transformational/change management.

The Public Hearing will be held at the Victor Hugo Suite, St Pierre Park Hotel, from 2:30pm until 4:15pm on Wednesday 3rd February 2016.

The Committee's Panel, comprising of Deputies Heidi Soulsby (Panel Chair), Peter Harwood, Robert Jones, Roger Domaille, and Mr Paul Hodgson (Non-States Member), will question Deputy Gavin St. Pier in his capacity as the Policy Council's FTP Political Champion.

Deputy Soulsby, Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, stated:

'The Public Accounts Committee identified that a public hearing into the Financial Transformation Programme would add significant value to its work in this area. We have previously stated that it is inevitable that a programme of this size and complexity will have had lessons to be learnt and we must seek assurance that this key learning is embedded in future government programmes.'

Members of the public are welcome to attend the Hearing in an observational capacity and will be admitted from 2:00pm.
