Environment
The Environment Department advises the States on Environmental policy including transport, energy and waste policy and policy for the conservation, enhancement and sustainable development of the natural and physical environment of the Island in accordance with the strategic economic, fiscal, social and environmental policies of the States.
Some of the responsibilities of the Department include the protection of the physical environment of the Island and the conservation and enhancement of the natural and semi-natural environment however, a detailed overview of all the Department's responsibilities is available to read or download on the right hand side of this page.
The Department operates according to a published Customer Charter and has a formal system for Customer Complaints.
