A General Election of People's Deputies will take place on Wednesday 18th April 2012. 

The ability to vote - Electoral Roll

In order to vote in the forthcoming Election, you must have registered for inclusion on the Electoral Roll. The application process for inclusion on the Electoral Roll closed on 29th February 2012. It is therefore no longer possible to register for inclusion on the Electoral Roll for this election.

Voting

For the purposes of an Election, the Island is divided into seven Electoral Districts. Information on each district, including where and when you can vote, information on candidates (when available) and details of hustings will be available at www.election2012.gg.

Postal Voting

Postal voting is available to anyone who wishes to vote by post rather than in person. Postal vote application forms are available from Sir Charles Frossard House, the Greffe, the Guille-Allès Library and the various Constables' and Douzaine Offices.  It is also possible to register online at www.election2012.gg.

Election Results

All results of the General Election will be added to the Election 2012 website as soon as possible after they have been declaredby the Returning Officers in the various districts.

A New Assembly

Elected individuals will take office from 1st May 2012. The first meeting of the States of Deliberation will be held on this date to appoint the Chief Minister, with a further meeting being held on 8th May 2012 to elect Ministers and Chairmen. Department and Committee Members will be elected on 11th May 2012.
