The main functions of the Guernsey Registry are to:
· Maintain a register of Limited Companies Limited Partnerships in accordance with the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 and the Limited Partnerships (Guernsey) Law, 1995.
· Examine and store company or limited partnership documents received by the office.
· Ensure certain information is available to the public as required by the legislation.
In addition to the above, the Registry maintains the register of Recognised Auditors and is responsible for the collection of the Guernsey Finance LBG levy.
Work is progressing on the introduction of Guernsey Foundations, Limited Liability Partnerships and a review of the Limited Partnership law.
