Discipline and Performance
It is important to have clear standards of conduct at work.
The Code of Practice sets out the process employers should follow when dealing with disciplinary issues in the workplace. It is important that employers abide by the Code as an Employment Tribunal may consider the relevance of the Code in determining whether a dismissal was fair or unfair.
There is no law in Guernsey which states how grievances should be handled. The guide below provides advice on general principles and procedures that should be considered when grievances are raised.
