Minimum Wage

Under Guernsey law workers are entitled to be paid a minimum wage as follows: · Adult Rate (19 years and over) £6.15 per hour · Young Person's Rate (16 to 18 years) £4.36 per hour The minimum wage is reviewed annually. Any rate changes will take effect from October 1 and will be announced prior to that date. Employers will need to adjust pay accordingly.

The Minimum Wage and Associated Rates consultation 2012 has now ended.

Recommendations will be put forward in a forthcoming Billet D'Etat and, if accepted will come into force on 1 October 2012.
