Quality Assurance for Places of Refreshment
The Guernsey Taste Accreditation Quality Assurance scheme is designed for anyone offering visitors fresh food prepared for consumption on the premises.
Taste schemes are delivered in many areas of England, applying the same same standards of accreditation everywhere, but with the resulting awards marketed under a regional brand - hence Guernsey Taste accreditations.
Again the standard is delivered by unannounced assessment visit sampling the offer, followed by a verbal management debrief and a written report recommending the accreditation level achieved.
there is a section of the assessment related to local produce, which does not make up part of the accreditation score. To assist with the ongoing promotion of local food this information and the results achieved by individual outlets may be shared with the relevant events group of Culture & Leisure
Scheme criteria can be downloaded here.
Contact the Quality Development Team if you wish to take part.
