Overhanging Trees/Overgrown Hedges
The method of reporting will depend on where the overhanging trees/branches are and what time of year it is.
If you wish to report overhanging trees or overgrown hedges then:
For overhanging vegetation or branches that are obstructing or causing restrictions or serious problems on public highways this should be reported to the Parish Douzaine and Constables Offices using the Parish contact list below.
For vegetation that is causing a serious obstruction on public land that is managed by the Environment Department, the report should be made to the Environment Department using the contact details that are provided at the bottom of this page.
In case of emergency or out of hours then contact States Works, 246263, and they will deal with the Environment Department's Land Management team.
For more information about Parish requirements on hedge cutting please use the related pages link that is provided on the right-hand side of this page.
During the months of June and September, routine inspections will take place in each parish, therefore there may be no need to report overhanging/overgrown vegetation during this period.
