These measures provide for certain restrictive measures concerning members of the National Council for Democracy and Development (NCDD) and persons associated with them, including an asset freeze.
The European Union adopted these measures through Council Regulation (EU) No 1284/2009 on 22 December 2009 which was implemented domestically through the Republic of Guinea (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2012.
All financial institutions and other bodies and persons in Guernsey should be aware of these measures and continue ensure they do not maintain any accounts or otherwise hold any funds or economic resources for the entities and individuals named in the HM Treasury consolidated list.
