Storytellers, street theatre and local performers took to the streets last July in the week long al fresco celebrations of the arts, known as Arts Outside. The event gave locals and visitors a chance to experience street entertainment in the beautiful setting of St Peter Port. Focusing on five sites around the town centre, Arts Outside offered the opportunity to stumble upon acrobatics, magic, painting, slapstick, tragedy, mystery, dance, storytelling, gymnastics and comedy.

The event showcased local talent in the tryouts sessions, alongside visiting street theatre groups from the UK. Workshops were given during the event to encourage and offer the opportunity for participation.

The success of Arts Outside has paved the way for future street theatre events in St Peter Port- with plans underway for a similar event later on in the year.
