Good Food Guernsey
The traditional culture of Guernsey translates into a wide variety of food and drink, and a remarkable number of specialist dishes for such a small island. Good Food Guernsey was created to harness the local delicacies and create popular events and exhibitions, that would hold appeal to visitors and locals alike.
Guernsey also embraces many international culinary cultures, with French, Greek, Spanish, Italian, American, Thai, Indian and Chinese establishments dotted around the Island. The recent influx of other cultures such as Portuguese and Latvian can only increase the choice and quality of eating experiences in Guernsey.
Good Food Guernsey provides support towards a number of events, including the ever-popular Tennerfest, La Fete d'la Mair, the July Seafood Festival, and the Guernsey Restaurant Promotions. The group has recently realigned itself into a body which will offer funding to culinary event organisers on application. Therefore, if you do have any ideas for culinary events that you think would benefit Guernsey, then please either contact the group via the e-mail address at the bottom of this page, or fill in an application form. We look forward to hearing from you.
How do I apply?
An application form is available for downloading in the right-hand column of this page. Also attached on the right is a document detailing best practice on filling out the form - a correctly completed application form can be processed much more quickly than one missing vital information. The official Good Food Guernsey logo can also be downloaded from this page, in mono and colour as .jpegs and .eps files. Please note that all event logos are for on-island use only in conjunction with relevant themed events and activities. You are also advised that only white, flat colour and image are acceptable backgrounds to the logo, and that the logo must be clearly visible and prominent.
