Corporate Services
The Corporate Services Directorate deals with a wide and diverse range of services on behalf of the Department. These include:
- Managing the corporate governance agenda;
- Responsibility for the site development plan;
- Responsibility for the complaints system;
- Leading on service user involvement;
- Managing the legislative programme for the Department;
- Dealing with litigation and insurance issues;
- Providing advice on the development and use of corporate policies;
- Acting as the focal point for internal and external communication;
- Managing the Health Quality Service accreditation programme;
- Registering and inspecting nursing and residential homes, nurseries and childminders;
- Leading on health and safety issues within the Department;
- Leading on general risk management processes and systems;
- Providing administrative support to key committees within the Department, such as the Board, Ethical Committee, Medical Advisory Committee and the Corporate Management Team;
- Managing the fabric and estate of the Department through the Estates Department;
- Delivering a range of support services, essential to the delivery of health and social care, such as: housekeeping and domestic; catering; transport; portering and security; reprographics; telephony; laundry.
- Liaising with the hospital chaplains.
