Prospectus
Welcome to the Institute of Health and Social Care Studies' prospectus of courses for 2009.
Introduction
The Prospectus is organised so that it should be easy for you to browse and search for courses by alphabetical listing. We have made some changes to how the Prospectus is organised in response to feedback in 2008.
I am very pleased to point out that once again there are more new courses to help you meet your learning needs. This includes a new degree course in Professional Practice designed for qualified health and social care practitioners, featuring work-based study modules and, for those wanting to train as a nurse, a new degree or diploma course in adult or mental health nursing. Both these degrees are awarded by our new partner university, the University of East Anglia.
The dates of all our 2009 courses are listed in the Course Calendars.
If you want to apply for a course, relevant application forms are available to download under each course descriptor and if you want to find out more about a course, places available on courses and dates please use the contacts in the course descriptor.
I hope you find this version of the Prospectus useful and easy to find your way around – if you have any comments please contact us as we would appreciate your feedback.
Finally, we are introducing a new learning management system in 2009 that will make it easier to book onto training courses and will help us to be more responsive. This will mean some changes to the look of correspondence and will include increased use of electronic and direct booking systems.
Best wishes with your learning in 2009.
