The Home Department  have resolved that an Integrated Risk Management Plan for Guernsey should be produced on similar lines to those applicable in the UK in order to provide a strategic overview that can be used to determine immediate and future policy decisions.

 During July 2004, the Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service published its own plan, albeit with a local interpretation due to the scale and isolation of the Island. This plan has now been updated and a 2008 Integrated Risk Management Plan has now been published.
