Today’s modern police organisation employs the latest methods and technologies to deliver effective policing services to the community.

There are now many diverse departments within the organisation including: community section, dog section, scenes of crime department, family liaison, motorcyclists, information technology department etc. Many officers have additional roles such as divers, firearm officers etc. All operating from a modern purpose built police headquarters.

As well as providing a 24-hour response to incidents and requests for assistance, the organisation aims to tackle specific issues. These priorities are decided in consultation with representatives of many different organisations and associations within the community.
