Strategic Priorities
Guernsey Police
Permanent Beat System (Community Policing)
To work in partnership with the community, to develop and extend the permanent beat system to cover specific areas, and to increase high visibility foot patrols.
Public Order
To address and prevent anti-social behaviour, with the intention of improving the quality of life and state of public tranquillity that the community can reasonably expect to enjoy.
Drug, Alcohol and Solvent Abuse
In association with other agencies, prevent any proliferation of, and where possible reduce the abuse of drugs, alcohol and solvents.
Financial Investigation
Together with other agencies, deter, prevent and investigate financially associated crimes, both local and international.
Crime
To develop effective crime initiatives, with particular reference to crimes against the person and property, crime intelligence, investigation, prevention and education.
Information Technology / Technical Support
To develop the existing strategies for ‘Information Technology’ and ‘Technical Support’ to ensure their continued relevance to Force needs.
Traffic
In association with other agencies, promote road safety and the free flow of traffic on the roads of the Bailiwick.
Organisational Development
In association with staff agencies, continue to develop the organisation, including personal and career development for all staff members, ensuring the most appropriate and efficient use of resources, and to project and promote the Force to the public.
The Bailiwick of Guernsey, remain low crime, low disorder islands in which the Police Service is proud to play its part in maintaining the peace and tranquillity.
