Employment-Related Licences
Following work carried out by a joint Housing/Commerce and Employment working party, and an extensive period of consultation undertaken by both departments with a variety of Guernsey business organisations, the Housing Department is pleased to launch a new procedure by which employers may apply for “essential” employment-related licences. The Application Form itself is divided into two sections, and it is recommended that the Guidance Notes and Primary and Secondary Benefits Notes are downloaded at the same time as the Form and consulted ahead of completing the application.
Application for a Statement in Principle (To be completed by the employer in respect of a position. Wherever possible, the form should be completed in advance of the recruitment process. Please note that when making multiple applications it is necessary to submit a separate application form for each position)

The Application Form for a Statement in Principle is supported by Microsoft Word and can be downloaded and completed electronically.

Applications for Documentation providing independent confirmation of qualifying period as set out in Section 10(2) of the Law:
Certificate of Ordinary Residence
Certification of Ordinary Residence (For Establishing Qualification Under Section 10(2)(g))
Certificate of Ordinary Residence (As a minor)
Application for a Certificate of School Attendance
Income Tax Record Application
Social Security Contribution Record Application
