Contributions

The reason you pay contributions is to give yourself insurance protection. Your payments will then entitle you to claim various benefits. Different classes of contributors are entitled to different benefits, subject to having fulfilled the basic conditions.

Generally speaking, the Social Insurance Scheme applies to all persons in Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Jethou who are over school leaving age.  There are three classes of insured persons, paying different rates of contributions.

The contributions section is responsible for the collection of contribution payments and the registration of new entrants to the island. It is located on level 3 of Edward T Wheadon House, if you have any general contribution enquiries please call 732502.
