A 21-gun salute will take place from the saluting battery of Castle Cornet as part of the Queen's official 86th birthday celebrations on Saturday 16 June.
Gun teams will include one made up from staff of Cannon Asset Management which sponsors the firing of the Castle cannon. There is also an opportunity to watch Les Danseurs de l'Assembllaie d'Guernesiais performing from 10.30‐11.15am and The History in Action Company performing Yankee Doodle Tupper at 2.15pm at Castle Cornet.
Entry to the Castle, Guernsey Museums & Art Gallery and Fort Grey will be free throughout the day. Visitors to Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery can enjoy Mark Cook's 'The Shipping Forecast' exhibition, and can also view the display in Candie Gardens, of historic photographs of the Queen's previous visits to Guernsey. Fort Grey Shipwreck museum will be open all day for visitors to see relics and other unique items gathered from shipwrecks from along the west coast, free parking is available at Guernsey Pearl.
