The Bailiwick of Guernsey Victim Support and Witness Service, the Probation Service, Restorative Justice and the Guernsey Police work to support victims and witnesses of crime.
The Bailiwick of Guernsey Victim Support and Witness Service
The Bailiwick of Guernsey Victim Support and Witness Service is an independent organisation supporting victims and witnesses of crime. The staff; Marilyn and Sandra plus 15 invaluable volunteers are trained to provide emotional support, information and practical help to those who have been affected by crime, and to their relatives and friends, whether or not the crime has been reported and regardless of when it happened.
We offer support to victims and witnesses of all crime and support people of any sexuality, race, religion and age.
We contact people by phone, letter, or in person; according to the particular sensitivity of the situation and can arrange for our trained personnel to visit people in their own homes, in our office, and if appropriate at a place that is safe and convenient for them.
We identify the help and support that will most usefully meet the person's needs and expectations. If specialised help is required we will assist with finding that help.
The Victim Support and Witness Service can be contacted using the contact details provided in the box below.
