Beau Sejour Leisure Centre is on the lookout for a new catering partner interested in taking on both the leasehold of its commercial catering facilities and Beau Sejour's event catering provision.
The Centre has enjoyed a long and productive relationship with its current catering provider, Sueco, however that team is now taking time to consider its future direction.
Beau Sejour's on-site catering partner supports all of the Centre's large- and medium- scale events, including corporate dinners and concerts.
Sam Herridge, Head of Recreation Services, said:
"The relationship between Sueco and Beau Sejour has been in place for over 25 years. During this time the company has more than ably catered for a range of large functions and events - from providing meals for Royalty, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Anne; to feeding all the attendees at large scale events such as the Achievement Awards. They also regularly catered for up to 450 people for corporate dinner/dances and provided the bars for sporting events such as the Amateur Boxing. A huge thank you has to be made to Sueco for making all these events possible, and the Centre is grateful for the company's on-going support over all these years.
We are now looking forward to building a similarly excellent relationship with a new provider."
The Senior Management Team of Sueco said:
"As a company we have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of challenges and events which we have worked on in partnership with Beau Sejour over the years. Following the death of one of its original founders and Managing Direcotor, Peter Yates, in 2022, the company is now taking some time to consider its future direction in respect of these large-scale event opportunities.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our previous clients, for whom we've catered for since the start of our agreement with Beau Sejour and wish all parties the very best for future events."
Sueco will continue to operate from Beau Sejour until the end of September 2023, with interim arrangements being made after this date for existing customer bookings. All customers and clients with events booked in will be contacted in the near future to discuss their requirements.
The States of Guernsey is now open to expressions of interest - with a notice being published today - for caterers who may be interested in taking on the leasehold of the commercial catering facility.
The provider is expected to cater for around 25 (but not limited to) events per annum; such as concerts and large dinners hosting up to 800 attendees. Other opportunities may also be available over time.
Any successful supplier will be expected to provide a high-quality, value for money service, while fostering a positive and proactive approach to developing further business opportunities.
Anyone interested in these opportunities should contact Nathan Dicker, Trading Areas Manager (email@example.com), or Colin Thorburn, Commercial Risk Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org) in the first instance.
