The Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure has elected Deputy Adrian Gabriel as its new Vice-President.
Deputy Gabriel has been a member of the Committee since it was elected following the 2020 General Election. The role of Vice-President became vacant following Deputy Sam Haskin's resignation from the position to focus on his role with Education, Sport & Culture.
Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez, President of the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure, said:
"Deputy Gabriel has played an invaluable role on the Committee to date and I'm delighted that he's taken the opportunity to step up to the role of Vice-President. Our Committee has an incredibly diverse mandate, including housing, road infrastructure, climate change, coastal infrastructure and many other areas. I look forward to continuing to work with Deputy Gabriel in his new capacity."
Deputy Gabriel, Vice-President of the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure, said:
"I am really pleased to be taking on this new role to continue progressing important workstreams in a number of crucial areas affecting islanders' day-to-day lives. I look forward to continuing my work with the Committee and welcome the opportunity to take on this additional responsibility."
