Draft Development Frameworks and Traffic Impact Assessment for La Vrangue and Pitronnerie Road

Housing plans

The consultation has now ended and the final Development Frameworks will be published in due course.

Islanders are invited to comment on two draft Development Frameworks and an associated Traffic Impact Assessment that have been prepared to guide potential residential development on the sites referred to as La Vrangue and Pitronnerie Road.

As with all draft Development Frameworks, these documents have been prepared by Planning Service officers for the purpose of providing broad, comprehensive, impartial and practical planning guidance on how the Island Development Plan 2016 policies will be applied if any planning applications are made for the sites.

The draft frameworks invite public consultation, and we would encourage all those with an interest in these sites to have their say. After all of the feedback has been received, the political members of the Development & Planning Authority will make a decision on whether these should be approved and become Supplementary Planning Guidance for the sites in question.

A previous consultation highlighted the need to mitigate the impact that potential development could have on the road network. A joint Traffic Impact Assessment for both sites has been carried out by Ove Arup and Partners Ltd (Arup), which outlines potential mitigations for the road network, bus service improvements, and facilities for walking and cycling.

To comment on these draft Development Frameworks and the Traffic Impact Assessment, please email planning@gov.gg or write to Development & Planning Authority, Sir Charles Frossard House, La Charroterie, St Peter Port, GY1 1FH. Comments can be submitted until Friday 9th February 2024.

If you would like to receive an email and/or text notification when the next survey becomes available (or you wish to stop receiving those notifications), please log in or register here.
