The Douzaine Liaison Group is an informal sub-group of the Policy & Resources Committee and consists of a Member of the Policy & Resources Committee and three other States Members appointed by the Committee. The current members of the Group are:
- Deputy Bob Murray (Chair)
- Deputy Sue Aldwell
- Deputy Aidan Matthews
- Deputy Nick Moakes
The Policy & Resources Committee has overall responsibility for the relationship between the States of Guernsey and the Parish authorities, and considers the Douzaine Liaison Group a valuable part of maintaining and improving this. Please see attached Mandate as a download to the right.
The role of the Douzaine Liaison Group is to ensure that all States Committees work within the spirit of the States of Guernsey / Douzaine Charter (please see attached as a download to the right), act as a reference point for the Douzaines to discuss any major changes in the relationship between the States and the Parishes, and to facilitate communication between States Committees and Parish authorities.
The Douzaine Liaison Group regularly meets collectively with representatives from all of the 10 Parishes to discuss matters of a mutual interest. Please see attached a list of all of the Island's Parochial Officials, as well as Parish contact details, as a download to the right.
