The National Garden Scheme is a national organisation which raises funds for charity, whilst giving the public the gift of some beautiful gardens to view. For the first time this scheme will include 3 gardens from the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
The dates and opening times for the gardens are available at ngs.org.uk/channel-islands-gardens/
Alison Carney, Guernsey Queen's Nurse said:
'We are delighted that 3 beautiful gardens will be open in Guernsey and Sark to raise funds for the Queen's Nursing Institute. The funds raised will go towards training and education opportunities for Community Nurses.'
Rupert Tyler, Chairman of the National Garden Scheme, will be visiting Guernsey on 25 June and will be visiting the Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden and Castle Carey.
Cathy Morgan, Victorian Kitchen Garden, said:
'Inclusion in the National Garden Scheme and the visit of their chairman is very prestigious for Guernsey. We are delighted that we will be able to show him our kitchen garden and the hard work of our dedicated team of volunteers.'
