Islanders are reminded of a final public drop-in session on 12 June 2021 for the St. Peter Port Regeneration Areas draft Development Framework ahead of the consultation period ending on 15 June.
Representatives from the Planning Service will be present at this event to answer any questions and facilitate the submission of your views.
The three Regeneration Areas comprise the Lower Pollet, South Esplanade and Mignot Plateau, and Mansell Street/Le Bordage.
Deputy Victoria Oliver, President of the Development & Planning Authority, commented:
"My Committee and officers of the Planning Service have worked hard to encourage Islanders to come along and find out more about this draft Development Framework, to ensure that future plans are able to respond to local needs and contribute to the areas' vitality and vibrancy.
"We have been really pleased with the amount of engagement so far, but would like to welcome anyone who has not yet submitted their views to take the opportunity to do so before the consultation closes next week.
"Once this consultation concludes, the combined draft Development Framework for the three areas will be finalised and, if approved by the Committee, the Development Framework will then become Supplementary Planning Guidance. This means that anyone wanting to submit a planning application in these areas will have clear guidance and will need to ensure their application meets the requirements set out in the Framework."
A temporary public display detailing the draft Development Framework has been accessible throughout the consultation period and is currently available to view at the St Peter Port Douzaine on Lefebvre Street until 15 June.
