The Scrutiny Management Committee (SMC) is today extending its Call for Evidence regarding its review of Island Wide Voting. The Review Panel has been pleased with the level of response to date and wishes to allow additional time for members of the community to submit their views.
The Review is evaluating the success of the change to Island Wide Voting by considering the demonstrable and perceived advantages and disadvantages of the new election process.
The Call for Evidence has now been extended until Friday 7th April 2023.
Deputy Yvonne Burford, President of the Scrutiny Management Committee and Chair of its Review Panel, said:
"My Committee has been pleased to receive valuable evidence from the community as part of its review of the Island Wide Voting process and wishes to extend the evidence submission period until 7th April. We hope this will allow more members of the public to submit their views to better inform our review".

The extended deadline for all evidence submissions is 7th April 2023.
