The Annual Reports on Public Primary Schools in Guernsey 1900-1920

Education in Guernsey continued throughout both World Wars.

As part of a wider project to help pupils reflect on World War 1 and the impact that it had on Guernsey we have brought together some of the key observations about education included in the Annual Inspection reports of the time.

These reports provide a fascinating insight into the world of Education in Guernsey at the beginning of the 20th Century. The reports are currently retained by the States of Guernsey and will be presented to the States Archives Department in 2019.

You can read some of the excerpts from the Reports in the document available to download from this page.
