Diamond Jubilee Guernsey coins are now available to buy

The Treasury and Resources Department is pleased to announce the issue of Guernsey coins to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.

In 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 60 years as Queen and becomes the second longest serving Monarch in the history of the Royal Family. To mark this momentous achievement, four individually designed 50 pence copper coins are available that have been struck using the latest in minting innovations and are plated in 24ct Gold.

Approved by Buckingham Palace, each Diamond Jubilee coin features an image of Her Majesty from her 60 year reign, including Pietro Annigoni's famous 1956 painting and Cecil Beaton's official Coronation portrait of 1953. Each coin is further enhanced by a unique diamond-shaped edge representing 60 years and will depict Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty on the obverse.

The coins are available to order from The Westminster Collection, who are the agents for the sale of all commemorative coins for Guernsey. Their contact details are:
