Environment Department response to media enquiry from Island FM.
Further to my phone call, I have been asked to make my request via email. I understand there has been some damage to the slip way at Portelet and wondered if I could talk to someone to see what had happened and how it is going to be repaired?

The team dealing with coastal defence is very busy, please excuse brevity of this reply. The slipway is a straight-forward masonry repair. The rock armour alongside which has slipped will be put back into place within a couple of days.
