Public comments on 'ideal' service provisions
During the past 18 months the Environment Department has invited and received considerable public feedback with regard to the scheduling of the winter and summer public bus services. Where possible and as previous budgetary constraints allowed, these comments have led to further improvements in the scheduling and routing of the buses better to meet the demands and requirements of bus users.
Following the recent approval of an Integrated On Island Transport Strategy with an enhanced bus service very much at its heart, further enhancements will be explored as one of the options of a forthcoming tendering exercise for the bus contract. Accordingly, the Department is inviting the public to submit any final suggestions or observations in relation to what they consider would represent the ideal frequency, routing and timing of both integrated schools and scheduled bus services to better serve the community.

The closing date for comments to be sent to the Minister, Environment Department is Friday 4 July 2014.
