Environment Department's response:
Why are these changes being proposed?
The Dept was approached by a delivery company and a retail premises regarding difficulties experienced when making overnight or early morning deliveries, because overnight parking is currently permitted in the unloading bays.
What are the benefits?
Due to overnight deliveries being made regularly to shops along The Quay, St Peter Port the Department proposes that 3 bays will remain un\loading only at all times so as to ensure deliveries are not hindered by parked vehicles.
Who was consulted?
The Dept has issued a Gazette Notice and site notices giving a 14 day consultation period (attached).
