Census Reports were published by the States of Guernsey between 1971 and 2001. The last traditional census in Guernsey was held on 29th April 2001 and a reliable method for counting the population using administrative records was developed in 2006. The method was further developed to include counts of births, deaths, immigration and emigration from 2008. This information was published each year in the Guernsey Annual Population Bulletin up to 2013.
The Annual Electronic Census Report replaced the Annual Population Bulletin in 2014. It is published annually and contains a comprehensive collection of population snapshots and trends derived from administrative sources.
Quarterly bulletins on population, employment and earnings are produced in between each of the annual reports.
