Tuesday 26 March 2019
NICE Technical Appraisal approved treatments are drugs, treatments and devices that are routinely available to people living in England.
Health & Social Care will be running two workshops in Alderney in the Anne French Room at the Island Hall, Royal Connaught Square to discuss the local availability of NICE TA-approved drugs, treatments and devices.
The first will run from 10 am until 12 pm and the second from 1 pm until 3pm, both on the 3rd April 2019.
All Islanders are welcome to attend either of these workshops.
This will enable people living in Alderney to give their views on the local availability of these treatments.
At the workshop we will be seeking your views on:
- looking at making all NICE TA approved treatments available; or
- looking at prioritising particular NICE TA approved treatments over others (for example, anti-cancer medication, end of life treatments, treatments for long term conditions or for childhood illnesses); and
- the values and principles that Islanders would like to be used when considering whether or not to fund a healthcare intervention or treatment.
The views of Islanders will then be fed into the final report and will provide Islanders with the opportunity to have your say on this crucial issue.
To book your place to attend either workshop on the 3rd April 2019 please email linda.osborne@gov.gg or telephone 01481 707438.
