Parents and carers can now submit applications for School Uniform Grants to Social Security.
Applications can be made through an online form or by completing an application form. Forms can be obtained from the Income Support counter on Level 1 at Edward T. Wheadon House (ETWH) or Reception at Sir Charles Frossard House (SCFH). For parents and carers who are not in receipt of Income Support, proof of income, rent and interest on loans must be submitted with the application form to Edward T. Wheadon House.
School Uniform Grants are issued annually by the Committee for Employment & Social Security and aim to provide all children with a basic school uniform. The amount granted is determined by the annual household income and allowed expenses, so not all applications will be eligible for a full uniform grant.
In order to receive the school uniform grant before the start of the Autumn Term, applications must be submitted by Monday 19 August. However, applications can be made up until the Easter holidays. No grants will be issued before Monday 22 July to allow for applications to be processed.
More information, as well as the online form, can be found at www.gov.gg/schooluniformgrant.
