Wednesday 11 September 2019

The partnership between the States of Guernsey and leading technology and digital transformation specialist Agilisys Ltd has been made official with the signing of a formal contract to enable service commencement.

It marks a major milestone in what will be a 10-year agreement to modernise the States' IT systems and improve service delivery of public services through the adoption of digital technology to improve access and operational efficiency. The partnership will also see significant opportunities for the business community, entrepreneurs and students through development the Island's tech sector.

The signing of the contract follows the decision by the States Assembly in June 2019 to appoint Agilisys Ltd as the preferred bidder for its Future Digital Services Programme. In the time since the States decision, pre-contract agreements have allowed work to begin in some areas, meaning Agilisys can now move quickly into their role of delivering the government's digital transformation.

Paul Whitfield, Chief Executive of the States of Guernsey, said:

'I'm delighted to be able to sign on the dotted line, confirming our partnership with Agilisys. The changes they will deliver in how we provide public services will make a massive difference in improving Islanders experience and enabling real efficiencies.'

Richard Hanrahan, Chief Executive of Agilisys Guernsey, said:

'This signing marks the beginning of our work to deliver services which enable the States' ambitious programme of public service reform. We are excited to be taking responsibility for the hard-working and dedicated ISS team and to being able to start the important business of delivering better user experience for employees and islanders engaging with the States. It's the beginning of a long and exciting journey of improvement.'
