From today the Revenue Service is introducing a new online service for companies completing and submitting corporate tax returns.
The enhanced corporate tax return and account pages which can be found here (www.gov.gg/companytax) are being introduced after feedback from customers in workshops, forums and surveys.
This is the latest improvement to the States online services which are undergoing a major upgrade through the SMART Guernsey programme with our digital partners Agilisys.
Part of the change is prompted by new economic substance requirements for companies to enable them to demonstrate how their operations are conducted in Guernsey. But the upgrade to this online service goes further with a 'smarter' online tax form that will streamline the task of filling out tax information.
Sarah Davies, Head of Service Delivery said:
'We all know filling in tax returns isn't something we enjoy doing, whether you're an individual or filing for a company. Our aim is to make this process quicker and more straight forward for all customers. This new system will help our corporate customers but this certainly isn't the only improvement to our online upgrade, we plan to make a lot more improvements to the online services available to our customers.'
