Changes to public bus services effective from Monday 25 January

Sunday 24 January 2021

An 'enhanced Sunday' bus service will be operated Monday - Friday from Monday 25 January until further notice. A normal Sunday service will run on weekends. Night bus services have been suspended until further notice.

This change in service follows the Civil Contingencies Authority (CCA) decision for an immediate lockdown to mitigate and minimise the impact of COVID-19 on the community.

In line with the latest Public Health guidance, Islanders are discouraged from using public transport for all but essential journeys during the current lockdown.

The 'enhanced Sunday' services (in addition to a normal Sunday service timetable) running Monday - Friday are as follows:

CT Plus will do their best to put on services for essential workers who cannot be accommodated under the revised timetable. If you are an essential worker and you are impacted by these changes please call CT Plus on 700456 for further advice as to how you may be able to complete your journey as planned.

Capacity restrictions will apply so that social distancing can be maintained between passengers. It is also recommended that passengers wear a face covering on board.

Islanders are advised that cash fares will not be accepted on scheduled bus services but that contactless payment facilities are available on all buses. For those passengers that do not have access to contactless or smart card products, Pay as You Go (PAYG) 'orange' puffin passes are be available at a cost of £5 from the Terminus shop.

Traffic and Highway Services wishes to thank CT Plus, its drivers and the general public for their support and understanding at this time.
