5 beds on Le Marchant Ward are now ready for Hospice patients to arrive.
Patients will be transferred across on Wednesday 19th May. These beds have been allocated to support the Hospice whilst remedial works are carried out in their premises.
From Wednesday, anyone wishing to visit Hospice patients should use the new interim entrance to Le Marchant Ward which is adjacent to the Vauquiedor entrance at the PEH. Clear signage will be provided.
Whilst space for Hospice patients is being provided by HSC, patient care will continue to be provided by Hospice staff.
Mrs Jo Boyd, Hospice Director said:
'We are so grateful for the support we have received from the States of Guernsey whilst we undergo major remedial works at Andrew Mitchell House. The arrangements for our patients and staff are extremely welcome and enables us to provide continuity of care.'
