The first prize in this year's Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has now risen to £595,000.
It will continue to rise until the day of the draw, and with just under a week to go the top prize could still reach last year's bumper jackpot of £696,740.
Sixty-six other winning ticket numbers will also be drawn on the night, for prizes from £500 up to £50,000.
The proceeds from the Christmas draw will go to charities and other worthy causes throughout the Channel Islands.
Jon Taylor, Senior Lottery Officer for States Trading Group, who operate the Lottery in Guernsey, said:
"The first prize is growing faster now as we enter the final week of sales for the Christmas game. This is great news for a potential winner or winners and with the Social Investment Fund now taking applications for funding, local charities can be the winners too."
Guernsey registered charities or not-for-profit organisations operating within or for the benefit of the Bailiwick of Guernsey are now invited to apply for funding from the Small Grants Programme through the Social Investment Fund.
Under the programme, organisations can apply for a grant of up to £25,000 to put towards one-off projects or ongoing expenses of a year's duration, such as salaries or running costs. Applications can be made at www.sif.gg.
The draw will take place in Jersey, on Thursday 23 December during the ITV Channel TV News Bulletin from 6pm.
